Jan-Erik Skoglund is a bassoon player in the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. He joined the orchestra in 1976, before which he had played with the Norrköping Symphony Orchestra for two years.
Skoglund studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with Bruno Lavér. At the same time, he has also consistently played guitar: rock music initially, with more and more jazz over time as a freelance musician in various constellations, including the rather legendary group Swing and Sway, which consisted of classical musicians.
Jan-Erik Skoglund is also a bassoon player in the Stockholm Sinfonietta and has worked as a freelance bassoon player in productions such as Kristina from Duvemåla. In addition, Skoglund teaches at the Royal College of Music.
