Member of the orchestra since 1993.
Henrik Hansson began his path as a violinist at the renowned Vargön Music School in Vänersborg, where he studied under Sture Nilsson. He then studied at the Gothenburg Academy of Music (now the Academy of Music and Drama at the University of Gothenburg) with Ellen-Birgithe Nielsen, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg with professor Isabella Petrosjan, a student of David Ojstrach.
Henrik Hansson joined the first violin section of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 1993. He had previously been employed as a violinist in the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and as concertmaster in the Royal Swedish Orchestra.
Henrik Hansson is deeply interested in chamber music and through the years, he has participated in many chamber music concerts at Konserthuset, including Soup Concerts and in the Philharmonic Up-Close subscriptions.
