Member of the orchestra since 2002.
Jenny Eklund was appointed to the orchestra’s first violin section in 2002. She studied at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm with Semmy Stahlhammer and Henryk Kowalski, and has also studied at Indiana University Bloomington in the US, as well as the Banff Centre for the Arts in Canada. For two years, she studied with Zachar Bron at the Piteå School of Music; she also studied chamber music at the Royal College of Music/Edsberg with Mats Zetterqvist.
At her diploma concert in 1997, Jenny Eklund performed Brahms’ Violin Concerto, together with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Okko Kamu. At Konserthuset, she has also performed in various chamber music constellations. Jenny Eklund is also a member of the Orpheus Baroque Ensemble.
