Lola Torrente

Member of the orchestra since 2015.

Lola Torrente has been a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra’s first violin section since 2015. She grew up in the south of France and studied at the Conservatoire de Toulouse under Irina Medvedeva before moving to Paris and studying with Sylvie Gazeau and José Alvarez at the Conservatoire Supérieure de Paris.

As a soloist, she has performed with many orchestras in pieces such as Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, Bach’s violin concertos, Saint-Saëns’ Havanaise, and Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante and Violin Concerto No. 5.

Lola Torrente is also an active chamber musician and has participated in numerous festivals in France and throughout Europe. At a concert in Grünewald Hall in autumn 2016, she worked with pianist Sarah Margaine in a programme with French music. She has also been a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the Lucerne Festival Academy, led by Pierre Boulez.
