Monday at last – Day 6:1

Monday All Week is exactly what it sounds like: Monday At Last concerts every day, with tons of guests.

At their Monday At Last concerts, the trio ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen often invites other musicians and soloists for various collaborations. This time, they have invited the artist Bridget Allaire-Mäki, in order for her to interact with the music through her visual art. Bridget Allaire-Mäki is based in Finland and has previously worked with Tapiola Sinfonietta, among others.

We will hear Johann Sebastian Bach’s Goldberg Variations in Dmitry Sitkovetsky’s incredible arrangement, one of ZilliacusPerssonRaitinen’s true masterpieces. In 2005 the trio received a Grammis Award for their recording of the work, which came out on Caprice Records.
