Chamber Concert with students from RSPO Orchestra Academy

Listen to the young students from this year’s academy.

The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra Academy is an advanced special academic programme for young musicians. The programme is presented on site at Konserthuset Stockholm and carried out in collaboration with the Piteå School of Music at Luleå University of Technology. Section leaders from the orchestra are the teachers and supervisors during this one-year programme. The programme incorporates individual teaching on each instrument, and orchestral and chamber music performance.

In just a few years, the Orchestra Academy has become one of the foremost seedbeds for young musicians; after finishing their year of study, the majority of students win entrance performances to both Swedish and international orchestras.

In a number of public chamber music concerts – like this one – the audience has an opportunity to better get to know and hear these young musicians.
