Monday at last!
String trio ZPR and guests.
String trio ZPR was founded by Cecilia Zilliacus on violin, Johanna Persson on viola and Kati Raitinen on cello. The trio continuously works to explore the string trio repertoire and collaborates often and gladly with composers who are active today. Monday At Last is the concert subscription in which ZPR, now for the eleventh year in a row, invites guest artists to present newer and older music with them, often in close contact with the audience.
On this particular Monday, ZPR welcomes pianist Johan Ullén and violist Lise Berthaud. The repertoire includes Brahms’ thoughtful and playful Trio for Violin, Viola and Piano in E-flat Major, and Rebecca Clarke’s masterful viola sonata. In addition we will hear music by Einojuhani Rautavaara, Florentine Mulsant and Frank Bridge.
After the Monday At Last concerts, all audience members are welcome to the restaurant Pyttirian Kök och Bar in Kungshallen, next door to Konserthuset. There will be food and drinks to purchase, and a chance to talk with the ensemble or with one another – about the concert, music in general or something else entirely.
