Genre: Jazz

Summer musicians: Verket

An original mix of jazz, folk and world.

Verket is a jazz quartet with strong influences from folk and world music. Verket consists of Joel Möller on percussion, August Enoksson on guitars, Rasmus Mannervik on piano and keyboard and Magnus Adestedt on bass. The members have all just finished their first year at Södra Latin upper secondary school, where three of them are in the music programme.

Their repertoire includes their own compositions as well as personal interpretations of familiar songs. The members’ varying sources of inspiration – including African, Brazilian, jazz and classical – create an original sound that defies genre classification.

In cooperation with Region Stockholm and with support from Signatur – Foundation for advancement of music.
