An Act of Friendship – with the big band, under the baton of Peter Asplund.

Trumpet player and singer Peter Asplund will lead Konserthuset’s big band, the Blue House Jazz Orchestra. “I have chosen to call the evening An Act of Friendship,” says Peter Asplund. “The title has two meanings for me: it is about friendship as both an action and an act.”

Purely musically, this will manifest in everything from newly composed music to well-known standards – illuminated in some way from the perspective of friendship.

The full Blue House Jazz Orchestra will be on stage alongside a few yet-to-be-revealed guests from the musical circle of friends. “I have the great fortune to be blessed with so many wonderful friends,” says Peter Asplund. “I believe friendship is the most important thing one can have in life. And the world needs more friendship, between people and especially between countries.”
