Mezzo-soprano Kristina Hammarström is one of Sweden’s foremost singers, with a flourishing international career. She regularly appears on stages such as La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, Opéra National Paris, Théâtre de La Monnaie Brussels and the Berlin State Opera. She has performed in Richard Strauss’ Der Rosenkavalier, Rossini’s Semiramide and Mozart’s Idomeneo, among many more. She is also a highly coveted concert soloist and has performed with numerous orchestras in pieces such as Mahler’s Kindertotenlieder, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and Bach’s St. John Passion.

In recent years, Joel Annmo has given numerous acclaimed performances in roles at the Royal Dramatic Theatre, including in Borisova-Ollas’ Dracula, Debussy’s Pelleas & Melisande and Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites. He has also performed at the Drottningholm Palace Theatre and the Göteborg Opera. In 2014, he won the major international Pavarotti competition in Italy and in 2019 he won the Birgit Nilsson Scholarship.

Versatile pianist Magnus Svensson specialises in the art of lied, and he has served as artistic director of Lied Evenings at Konserthuset for several seasons. In addition to the Nordic region and elsewhere in Europe, he has also performed in Russia and the US. Magnus Svensson obtained his soloist diploma from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, graduated with honours as top student, and then immersed himself in the study of lied interpretation in London. Since 2012, he has also worked at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music with re-publishing older Swedish music.
