Christmas Concert

Christmas is the holiday of music! Welcome to Konserthuset’s big Christmas concert, a sparkling and wonderful show with many of the beloved classic Christmas songs and favourites from the American tradition.

Together with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and choirs, as usual, participants include artists from the classical and pop music worlds. At this year’s Christmas concert, we welcome pop and soul singer Andreas Weise, who made a broad breakthrough when he appeared on Idol and Let’s Dance about ten years ago.

Singer and actor Malena Laszlo has a wide register and an impressive list of credentials, including performances in a long list of musicals – and working with Ingmar Bergman at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. She also often sings at the Nobel festivities at Stockholm City Hall.

Soprano Frida Engström has performed numerous roles to great acclaim, including at the Malmö Opera and GöteborgsOperan. English baritone Jeremy Carpenter has lived in Sweden for many years and has performed, among other places, at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. 

The conductor is Alexander Hanson, who has conducted all of the leading orchestras, and has made frequent guest appearances with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Konserthuset’s Executive and Artistic Director Stefan Forsberg hosts this year’s big Christmas concert.
