Daniel Norberg
Co-Principal and member of the orchestra since 2007.
Daniel Norberg has been a solo timpanist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra since 2007. He studied at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, where he taught for ten years following his studies. He was previously alternate solo timpanist with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
Daniel Norberg is an incredibly active chamber musician and is also deeply interested in contemporary music. He is among the founders of the Gothenburg-based, contemporary music ensemble Gageego!
He has appeared in Konserthuset’s chamber music subscription the Philharmonic Up-Close and in the Composer Festivals featuring Tan Dun in 2007 and Rolf Martinsson/Kimmo Hakola in 2008.
