For schools

Schools come and hear the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.

The recurring school concert weeks offered for various age groups each season form the basis of Konserthuset’s activities for schools. Along with the family concerts, these activities have been taking place since 1917! School concerts are completely free.

Six-year-olds and primary school students can attend concerts featuring the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. Lower secondary students and upper secondary students get to attend special programmes – sometimes featuring the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, and sometimes with other participants.

At open houses, students get to learn more about how a symphony orchestra works and what instruments are used. Slightly older students are offered field trips at which they can watch the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra rehearse. In partnership with Region Stockholm, inspirational days are held to instruct teachers in how to use music in their lessons.
