Violin 2, tutti
The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is inviting applications for two tutti second violin positions.
The main audition will take place March 30–31, 2026, at Konserthuset Stockholm, following a personal invitation after the digital round.
To apply, please submit your application together with your recording via Muvac no later than February 6, 2026. Apply here
Please record the requested repertoire (see below) without cuts or edits and remain fully in frame for the entire duration of the video. The Mozart concerto and the two orchestral excerpts may be recorded either in one single video or in two separate videos (one with Mozart and one with the excerpts). The use of an external microphone is recommended for optimal sound quality.
Digital round – required repertoire:
Wolfgansg Amadeus Mozart Violin Concerto No. 3, 4, or 5: first movement until the cut as written in the attached booklet without cadenza
Richard Strauss Don Juan (violin I excerpt, see attached booklet)
Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 1, Movement II (violin II excerpt, see attached booklet)
The indicated bowings and fingerings are not compulsory. Applicants may use their own bowings and fingerings. The Mozart concerto may be recorded with or without piano accompaniment.
A complete list of the live audition repertoire will be announced with the invitation to the main audition and will include Mozart Violin Concerto No. 3, 4, or 5 (first movement exposition with cadenza), a standard Romantic Concerto (first movement), as well as orchestral and chamber music excerpts.
