Klaara Vasara

Finnish clarinettist Klaara Vasara recently graduated from the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, where she studied under Harri Mäki and Christoffer Sundqvist. She is an active orchestra member and has played as a substitute with several prominent Finnish orchestras, including the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Tapiola Sinfonietta.

As a chamber musician, Klaara Vasara has performed in the Turku Music Festival and Crusell Music Festival in Uusikaupunki. Her main projects include the Hai Quartet, an ensemble dedicated to contemporary music that has given several world premiere performances. Klaara Vasara is also one of the artistic directors for the oldest chamber music festival in Helsinki: Kamarikesä.
