Clara May Teahan

English-born oboist Clara May Teahan grew up in Denmark. At the age of 15, she was awarded the gold medal in Berlingske newspaper’s classical music competition for emerging talents. She went on to complete a bachelor’s degree at Oxford University, graduating in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts, First Class Honours. And in 2023, she began studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Over the years, her teachers have included Juliana Koch, Clara Dent Bogányi, Emmanuel Laville, and Bengt Rosengren.
