Alan Gilbert

American Alan Gilbert was Chief Conductor of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 2000–08. He is now the orchestra's Conductor Laureate and a frequent guest. Alan Gilbert is currently chief conductor of the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra in Hamburg and Music Director at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm.
