Summer musicians: Table for five

Table for Five is an ensemble from upper-secondary school Södra Latin in Stockholm; the quintet’s five members are: Katja Frank Waisman, vocals; Eskil Larsson, clarinet; Helmer Larsson, percussion; Teodor Wennö, bass and Albin Söderbäck, piano.

The ensemble primarily plays jazz, as well as bossa nova, blues, soul and Latin. Table for Five was founded in autumn 2017 when the members began their first year at Södra Latin, and they quickly discovered that they worked well together. By developing and renewing their arrangements together, Table for Five endeavours to create something new out of old songs and to lend a personal touch to music that has been played thousands of times.
