Albert Schnelzer
Composer Weekend with Schnelzer: Dance with the Devil
The festival finale
The festival finale will offer a taste of Schnelzer’s chamber music: pieces that span from jazz, minimalism and hard rock – such as Dance with the Devil – to humour and playfulness – such as Wolfgang is Dancing! We will also hear work of earnest gravity – as in Requiem, set to poems by Edith Södergran.
The music will be performed by the internationally active soprano Susanna Andersson, who was a Stockholm Concert Hall Rising Star artist ten years ago. Henrik Måwe first performed as a soloist with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in 2008. The versatile guitarist Mats Bergström is a well-known guest at Stockholm Concert Hall, while Patrik Swedrup and Hermann Stefánsson are the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra’s second concertmaster and solo clarinettist, respectively. The phenomenon Svante Henrysson is a double bass, electric bass and cello virtuoso.
