Organ Matinée with Gregory Lloyd
Music by Bach, Korngold and Bolcom
Gregory Lloyd is the organist of the Katarina church in Stockholm. Besides performing music by Johann Sebastian Bach and Erich Wolfgang Korngold at this matinée concert, he's also teamed up with percussionist Olof Wendel in a performance of Black Host for organ, percussion and tape by William Elden Bolcom (born in 1938). Bolcom is an American composer who has, for instance, composed three operas, a solo concerto for the famous flute player James Galway, as well as no less than nine symphonies and eleven string quartets.
