Summer musicians: Trio Neo
With a focus on Spanish and Latin American music.
Trio Neo has played together in various constellations since 2013 and shares a significant interest in a wide variety of genres, including everything from jazz and salsa to blues, funk and rock. As summer musicians, they have focused on the rich musical traditions of the Spanish-speaking world: Latin America and Spain.
The members of Trio Neo are guitarist and singer Jon Svenungsson (who has lived in Colombia and Cuba), who is in his second year in upper-secondary school Södra Latin’s music track with a focus on classical guitar; bassist Albin Signell, who has completed his third and last year at Södra Latin – where he has also studied sound engineering and music production; and drummer Jacob Johnson, who is in his final year in Södra Latin’s music track, with a focus on jazz.
