Rising Stars – Josep-Ramon Olivé

A weekend of chamber music with tomorrow’s stars.

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear tomorrow’s classical music stars today. In a unique and forward-looking partnership between 21 of Europe’s leading concert halls, six young musicians and ensembles from various countries are selected each year and given the opportunity to tour all of the concert halls and perform before an international audience. Experience shows that those who are selected as Rising Stars have internationally successful careers.

Spanish baritone Josep-Ramon Olivé studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London and has quickly become established as one of the most coveted young lied vocalists. He moves comfortably through a repertoire spanning from Baroque with Händel to Romantic with Richard Strauss and more, which he will offer a sample of at this concert. We will also hear a new piece by Spanish video artist and composer now located in London, Raquel García-Tomás.

Olivé performs with British pianist Ian Tindale, who was awarded the Pianist’s Prize in the 2017 Wigmore Hall Kohn Foundation Song Competition, in addition to accompaniment prizes at the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, Royal Overseas League Music Competition, and the Gerald Moore Award.

Nominated by L’Auditori Barcelona and Palau de la Música Catalana.

I cooperation with European Concert Hall Organisation
