Trio Mendel
Trio Mendel is a newly formed piano trio with a focus on early romantic chamber music.
The trio consists of Karolina Martinsen on violin, Johanna Arnberg on cello and Marcin Tjernbäck on piano. All three are in the music programme at Södra Latin upper secondary school and in addition, have participated in courses, master classes and events nationally and internationally. This autumn, Johanna will begin her third year at Södra Latin while Marcin and Karolina will begin their music studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Trio Mendel’s programme includes Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy’s Piano Trio No. 1 in D Minor Op. 49 (movements 1 and 2), as well as one of the last works composed by Franz Schubert, Piano Trio No. 2 in E-flat Major D. 929 (movement 1).
