Blue House Youth Jazz Festival – Katie Thiroux Trio

With her superb bass playing and relaxed singing style, Los Angeles-based bassist and singer Katie Thiroux has in recent years established herself as one of the most acclaimed and in-demand American jazz artists. In the summer of 2017, Quincy Jones selected Katie as artist-in-residence at her club in Dubai: "I could not be happier to have such a talented young bassist and singer here ... she has IT!"

Katie Thiroux's latest album Off Beat, at the leading jazz label Capri, was named 2018 by Downbeat Magazine as the Best Album of the Year. She has since toured in North America and Denmark, visited the Monterey Jazz Festival and played at legendary clubs such as The Blue Note and Birdland in New York and Green Mill in Chicago.
