Young Soloists – Semi-Final

Both competition and concert with some of Sweden’s most giftet young musicians.

Unga Solister – Young Soloists – is a Swedish national competition in classical music, open to youth up to 19 years old playing strings, wind, the harp or the piano.

The participants are divided into two different age categories, and the competitions consists of a video round, a semi-final and the final. 

Now it’s time for the 12 contestants in the semi-final to decide which six are to reach the final. The semi-final is arranged as a series of concerts in which each contestant plays a programme of maximum 15 minutes. The audience is allowed to attend only parts of the programme.

The jury is formed by members from, for instance, the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra, The Swedish Wind Ensemble and the Royal Swedish Orchestra.
