Summer musicians: Level up

Gaming music with a jazzy flavour

Level Up is a quartet from Södra Latins Gymnasium upper-secondary school that plays jazz renditions of music from computer games. They make their own arrangements of music from familiar games like Super Mario, the Legend of Zelda and Minecraft. Jazz has always taken inspiration from contemporary popular music, and computer jazz is a growing genre that builds upon just such a tradition. Level Up consists of Elliot Bergmark, guitar; Aron Waltman, saxophone; Arvid Manzuoli, bass; and Arvid Bexelius, drums.
