The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra

Jazz, power & soul. The Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with queen of the Hammond organ.

Exciting arrangements, outstanding playing and impressive stage presence make the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra a favourite for the world’s jazz audiences. This big band last performed at Konserthuset in 2018, with singer Cécile McLorin Salvant.

They have now returned, this time with Japanese queen of the Hammond organ: Akiko Tsuruga. She grew up in Osaka, but has long been active in the US, based in New York. With ten albums, her own quartet, and collaborations with loads of top musicians, Akiko Tsuruga is incredibly well established on the American jazz scene.

For anyone who loves the characteristic sound of the Hammond organ, this concert is a unique opportunity that should not be missed.
