Django Reinhardt Night – tenth year in a row

Gustav Lundgren is one of Europe’s most acclaimed gypsy jazz guitarists. He has released over 900 songs and his music has over 100 million streams. Guitar legends like John Scofield, Mike Stern and George Benson have praised his playing. He has also worked with musicians such as Jimmy Rosenberg, Chris Cheek, Jorge Rossy, Noé Reinhardt, Doug Weiss, Antoine Boyer, The Swedish House Mafia and Anne Sofie von Otter.

Also part of the “French Connection” project is French gypsy jazz guitarist Edouard Pennes, who has toured with most of the genre’s greats. In addition, we hear the classically trained gypsy jazz violinist Aurélien Trigo, who studied at the renowned conservatory in Paris.

On alto sax and clarinet, we hear award-winning Klas Lindquist who also plays with ensembles such as Stockholm Swing All Stars, Claes Janson Band and Glenn Miller Orchestra Scandinavia. On double bass is Niklas Wennström, one of Sweden’s most swinging jazz bassists, who has played with the likes of Joel Lyssarides Trio, Kristin Amparo, Elin Larsson Group, Fredrik Norén Band & Spicy Advice Ragtime Band.

We also hear singer Tea Lundgren, whose voice is easy to love. She released her first single at the age of 14. That song was streamed on Spotify over a million times in just a few months! This is the second time we are hearing Tea at Konserthuset Stockholm.
