Amelie – a magnificent film soundtrack experience

More than 20 years have passed since the premiere of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s love letter to Paris – the film Amelie. We met one of cinematic history’s most beloved heroines, and Audrey Tautou in the leading role became an international star.
For the iconic music, director Jean-Pierre Jeunet chose pieces from an album by French composer and artist Yann Tiersen, who also composed new music specifically for the film. For this, he won both a César Award and a World Soundtrack Award.
Grammy-nominated pianist and accordion player Claudio Constantini now interprets this classic French film once again, together with his symphony orchestra. We get to experience the characteristic accordion sounds and 1930s French chansons that are so closely associated with the story of Amelie. The concert returns us to her Parisian world, and the character of Amelie appears on stage a few times throughout the evening. We also hear Audrey Tautou’s voice in this vivid presentation, enhanced by clips from the film.
