The Konserthuset Shop

At the Konserthuset box office, you can purchase more than just concert tickets.

To mark the centenary, the shop has been refreshed and its range expanded to include posters, T-shirts and tote bags, among other items. The new products place Konserthuset centre stage, with designs inspired by details from the building itself.

The selection includes newly printed editions of historic posters drawn from the Konserthuset archives, reflecting the breadth of its activities across different eras and genres.

Many major stars, past and present, have appeared at Konserthuset, and among the posters are names such as Birgit Nilsson, Jussi Björling and Antal Doráti. The phenomenon that is Herbert Blomstedt, now 98, is represented both historically and in the present day – he most recently stood on the Konserthuset stage this past autumn, having made his debut with The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra as early as 1952. The historical poster finds also feature a number of jazz greats and pop artists from earlier decades.

Further inspiration for the new products comes from the art found throughout Konserthuset, where artistic decoration is present at every turn.

While studying at Handarbetets Vänner, the illustrator Vanda Gavel was given the task of creating a garment inspired by the art of Konserthuset. After a guided tour of the building, she was particularly taken with a fiddler motif created by Isaac Grünewald for the carpet in the foyer of Grünewald Hall.

Vanda Gavel’s illustration was first produced as a print on a T-shirt and is now also available on several other items in the Konserthuset Shop.

Next time you visit Konserthuset, be sure to explore the new products in the shop.
