Welcome to the 100-Year-Old

Konserthuset Stockholm now celebrates its 100th anniversary, and in 2027 the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra turns 125. Ahead lies the 2026/27 concert season – what we have called the Jubilee Season, the season of two anniversaries.

Here we have gathered texts and information about the history of Konserthuset – there is surely something new to discover even for those who have visited Konserthuset many times before.

Preparations are now well underway for this summer’s major anniversary exhibition, portraying Konserthuset’s first century – from its inauguration in 1926 to the international concert venue it is today. The exhibition features historical and newly taken photographs, slideshows and films.
