Grande Finale 2021 – Sakari Oramo

Yes, it was indeed a grandiose finale, when Sakari Oramo in the spring of 2021 bid farewell to the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra after 13 years as its Chief Conductor. Music by Sibelius, all seven symphonies, the violin concerto featuring Lisa Batiashvili, Luonnotar with Anu Komsi and a rarely played piece for cello and orchestra with Johannes Rostamo. All of it crowned with a documentary film by David Tarrodi.
