Open rehearsal with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic
Welcome to an open rehearsal with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra preparing for the concert later in the evening!
Young American conductor Ryan Bancroft is leading the orchestra in Dvorák's joyous Symphony No 8. Please note that there might be some starts and stops, due to the rehearsal situation. The conductor Ryan Bancroft won the prestigious Malko Competition for young conductors in 2018. He now makes his debut with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.
Audience will be admitted from 11 am. No pre-booking and no tickets needed. A limited number of seats are available.
This open rehearsal with free admission is part of a collaboration with Classical Futures Europe, an EU supported project aimed at young musicians and at making it possible for new audiences to encounter classical music. Within the same project, Konserthuset Stockholm arranges master classes where guesting soloists meet young music students.
