Genre: Chamber music

Cancelled: Ingrid Fliter

This concert is cancelled.

The Argentinian pianist in a spectacular programme of Chopin.

Celebrated Argentinian pianist Ingrid Fliter has performed at Konserthuset Stockholm several times before, but this will be her first recital here. The programme is dedicated exclusively to music by Frédéric Chopin, one of her specialities.

We will hear the 24 preludes completed by Chopin during the much-discussed winter he spent on Mallorca with his lover, George Sand. They vary enormously in scope, from short, simple pieces to brutally charged and masterful explosions. The famous “Raindrop” Prelude No. 15 is said to be inspired by the endless rain on the island.

Ingrid Fliter will also perform the grandiose Piano Sonata No. 3 – masterful, beautiful and dramatic music, by perhaps the most beloved composer for piano of all.
