Cancelled: Brad Mehldau Trio

The versatile pianist returns with his trio.

A decade has passed since he was last here, but now the Brad Mehldau Trio returns to Konserthuset at last. Versatile American jazz pianist and composer Brad Mehldau continuously pushes and surpasses the boundaries of genre, blending artists and ensembles that are unexpected and exciting in equal measure.

He explores jazz, classical and pop to create unique and striking fusions, and has worked with artists including Pat Metheny, Anne Sofie von Otter, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Renée Fleming, Britten Sinfonia and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. 

Founded in its first formulation in the mid-1990s, the Brad Mehldau Trio is a fixed point among all the solo projects and various collaborations. For over 15 years, the trio has comprised Brad Mehldau on piano, Jeff Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums.
