Concert for the opening of the Parliamentary Session

Among the guests: Royal representatives, members of the Riksdag and the government. Stefan Forsberg, Executive and Artistic Director of the Stockholm Concert Hall Foundation, hosts the concert which is conducted by none other than the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic's Chief Conductor Designate, Ryan Bancroft.

This is of course the concert in conjunction with the opening of the Parliamentary Session. Konserthuset Stockholm and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra have the honor of organizing the evening event at this beginning of the Riksdag's working year.

As usual, the concert features a mixed program of great variety. Two young Swedish soloists appear with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra for the first time: trumpeter Ellinor Bengtsson and violinist Ava Bahari. The versatile soprano Hannah Holgersson participates, as does the jazz vocalist Isabella Lundgren with her band.

Ryan Bancroft and the orchestra also treat royalties and elected officials to Swedish romantic music by, among others, Valborg Aulin and the 150th anniversary Hugo Alfvén.
