About the concert
På svenskaA summer tradition with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra at the Maritime Museum on Gärdet – this year featuring world star soprano Christina Nilsson.
It is once again time for a festive celebration! The concert at the Maritime Museum on Gärdet has been a cherished summer tradition for decades – always popular and well attended. Sing-alongs and children’s activities are also part of the day, which for many has become a must in the Stockholm summer. The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is led by Fredrik Burstedt, and Konserthuset’s CEO Susanne Rydén is your host.
This year’s guest with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra is none other than Christina Nilsson! You may have heard her on Swedish Radio’s Summer programme or seen her on Carina Bergfeldt’s talk show on SVT. Soprano Christina Nilsson has enjoyed great success on the opera stage. She made her breakthrough as Aida at the Royal Swedish Opera in 2018, and has since received standing ovations around the world – including at the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
