Richard Bona Mandekan Cubano
Richard Bona replaces Kamasi Washington.
We regret to inform that the previously announced concert with Kamasi Washington, for the Stockholm Jazz Festival 2017, has been cancelled. It is replaced by Richard Bona Mandekan Cubano.
Singer, bassist and composer Richard Bona is a true phenomenon. Fans call this multi-talent from Cameroon ”The African Sting”, critics call him a pro, but it’s his unique and electrifying style of connecting with his audience that titles him what he really is – a true musician.
”Imagine an artist with Jaco Pastorious’s virtuosity, George Benson’s vocal fluidity, Joao Gilberto’s sense of song and harmony, all mixed up with African culture. Ladies and gentlemen, we bring you Richard Bona!”
– Los Angeles Times
With numerous awards, performances, and years of expertise, Richard Bona has become one of the most accomplished and sought-after musicians of this generation. And he continues to redefine his sound. Richard Bona released his Afro-Cuban project Mandekan Cubano in 2016, with his new album “Heritage”.
Please note: tickets bought for the Kamasi Washington concert are not valid for the Richard Bona concert. For reimbursements, pleace contact the box office at Konserthuset, no later than 14 October.
