Double concert with internationally acclaimed and Grammy-winning Swedish jazz and captivating joyful afroblues.

Trumpet player, band leader and composer Goran Kajfeš is one of Sweden’s great musicians. His supergroup Subtropic Arkestra has been acclaimed in international press, including by the New York Times, The Guardian, and by audiences worldwide. The group took home a Grammis Award for Best Jazz Album in 2018 for the album The Reason Why vol. 3.

Goran Kajfeš Subtropic Arkestra is a mixture of nations, musical styles and eras, with musical influences ranging from Turkey and Nigeria to Brazil. At Konserthuset Stockholm, Subtropic Arkestra continues to explore new horizons with guest-performer Avin Omar.

Ebo Krdum is from Darfur, western Sudan, but his warm, captivating music represents Darfur, Sudan and the entire African continent. Ebo is a self-taught guitarist, songwriter, composer, singer, actor and activist. The style is blended, but heavily focused on Afro-blues, storytelling, Afro-soul and Afro-beat. Justice, peace, love, compassion, gender equality and joy are clear themes of Ebo’s inviting music.
