Kustbandet is a unique Swedish orchestra. For over half a century, they have been performing captivating, timeless and energetic music that took shape in the 1920s and 30s.
Pioneers like Louis Armstrong, Bessie Smith, Count Basie and Duke Ellington showed the way.
Kustbandet got creative within this tradition, safeguarding the musical legacy in Sweden and around the world. With skill, an exquisite sense of style and good humour, the band has further developed the music in their own adaptations and arrangements.
This evening’s concert presents a delightful procession of new and old pieces alike.
