Sthlm Mass Choir
About the concert
På svenskaExternal organiser: Sthlm Mass Choir
The Sthlm Mass Choir is one of Sweden’s most powerful musical projects: a gospel choir of 500 singers under the direction of Cedwin Sandanam, the acclaimed choir leader behind both Tensta Gospel Choir and Malmö Mass Choir. Experience the powerful feeling of all those voices performing both traditional and modern, swinging gospel songs.
Since its start in 2023, the idea behind Sthlm Mass Choir has been to create a space where everyone – beginners as well as experienced singers – can share in the groove, the feeling, and the rhythm that has brought Tensta Gospel Choir to fame. Now Sthlm Mass Choir returns to the Concert Hall for two performances filled with groove, rhythm, and emotion.
We’re thrilled to welcome our guest artist Janice! She released her debut single “Don’t Need To” in 2016 and, with her powerful voice full of depth and intensity, has since become a natural presence on the Swedish music scene. She has performed in several prestigious contexts, such as the Nobel Prize Ceremony, the Guldbagge Awards, and Allsång på Skansen. She is also a familiar face on the musical stage, having portrayed Maria Magdalena in Jesus Christ Superstar and Deena in the hit musical Dreamgirls at Chinateatern.
