The 2026/27 anniversary season sparkles with energy. A host of leading artists are on their way – each appearing in several concerts. These are our featured portrait artists.

Beatrice Rana

Beatrice Rana took the Konserthuset audience by storm in 2023, when she brought explosive energy to Rachmaninov’s notoriously demanding Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. Now she returns with Brahms’s Second Piano Concerto, as well as a solo recital.

Seong-Jin Cho

South Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho won the Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2015. Since then, he has become one of the most sought-after soloists on the world’s major stages. He now returns to perform Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s Second Piano Concerto, and also gives a solo recital.

Christina Nilsson

In recent years, soprano Christina Nilsson has taken the operatic world’s most prestigious stages by storm, captivating audiences and critics alike with her extraordinary voice. In the coming season, she returns on several occasions. First, she appears with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in Philharmonic in the Park, performing at the open-air concert on Gärdet. She then returns as soloist in Wagner’s Wesendonck Lieder, and in spring 2027 we can also hear her in the Art Song Series.

Janine Jansen

One of the world’s leading violinists, Dutch violinist Janine Jansen combines dazzling technique with a natural stage presence. A frequent guest at Konserthuset, she now returns as soloist in Beethoven’s Violin Concerto – and there is more Beethoven to come, as she performs his violin sonatas.

James Ehnes

Canadian violinist James Ehnes is acclaimed for his silken tone. His playing is marked by visionary interpretations and analytical clarity, often with a sense of earlier performance traditions – both personal and elegant. On this occasion, he appears as soloist in Samuel Barber’s breathtaking Violin Concerto, and also performs Beethoven’s violin sonatas.

Asmik Grigorian

Armenian-Lithuanian soprano Asmik Grigorian achieved her international breakthrough in 2016 with a triumphant debut at the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm. She is undoubtedly one of the leading singers of our time, and in 2025 she was named Female Singer of the Year at the International Opera Awards. She appears at venues such as the Metropolitan Opera in New York and the Vienna State Opera. Now she makes her debut with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in Richard Strauss’s bittersweet Vier letzte Lieder, and also gives an Art Song recital in the Main Hall.
