Rising Stars

Chamber music festival with young, up-and-coming classical musicians. Experience tomorrow’s global musicians today!

Rising Stars, or ECHO Rising Stars in full, is a unique opportunity for young, up-and-coming classical musicians to appear in some of the music world’s leading concert halls. Since 1995, Rising Stars has therefore been an important part of establishing many of today’s global musicians.

The European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO) is an international partnership between 21 of Europe’s leading concert halls, and Konserthuset Stockholm was elected for inclusion as the only concert hall in Scandinavia. The purpose of the network is to support professional exchanges and reflection, and to carry out joint initiatives.

Every year, each member hall nominates one up-and-coming musician from its own country for ECHO Rising Stars. A handful of musicians are selected from among the nominees and receive the unique opportunity to appear in some of the world’s leading concert halls. Konserthuset Stockholm annually welcomes these ECHO Rising Stars at its own chamber music festival of the highest calibre, with the short and sweet title of Rising Stars.
