About the series
P svenskaA dream triple bill: Cécile McLorin Salvant, Wynton Marsalis with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and Hiromi.
Two of the great stars of our time – Cécile McLorin Salvant and Wynton Marsalis – frame an autumn of jazz worthy of Konserthuset’s centenary celebrations. There is also a tribute to Miles Davis and John Coltrane at 100, conceived by Magnus Lindgren and John Beasley, as well as a long-awaited return from the extraordinary pianist Hiromi.
For the first time at Konserthuset: the world-renowned trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis (pictured), together with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. A multiple Grammy Award winner, he has for more than four decades combined astonishing virtuosity with a deep commitment to the history and future of jazz. A festive Christmas theme is promised for this concert on 5 December.
