In conjunction with a recording of the performance of Trills and Dragon Ears at Konserthuset, kids from Hovsjö in Södertälje were invited for a conversation via Zoom.
They were very curious and Emilia Hoving answered questions about the role of the conductor: How does conducting work? How do you become a conductor? Is it difficult to keep an orchestra together? Are conductors rich?
Emilia Hoving (born in 1994) studied conducting at the Sibelius-Academy in Helsinki. She first attracted widespread international attention in 2019 when she took over concerts with the Finnish Radio Symphony at very short notice.
