Rising Stars – Kian Soltani/Mario Häring
A weekend of chamber music with tomorrow’s stars.
Don’t miss the opportunity to hear tomorrow’s classical music stars today. In a unique and forward-looking partnership between 21 of Europe’s leading concert halls, six young musicians and ensembles from various countries are selected each year and given the opportunity to tour all of the concert halls and perform before an international audience. Experience shows that those who are selected as Rising Stars have internationally successful careers.
Austrian-Persian cellist Kian Soltani has had successes on many of the world’s largest concert stages in recent years. He has been a soloist with Daniel Barenboim in Beethoven’s Triple Concerto and last season, he performed at Alte Oper Frankfurt, Philharmonie de Paris, Royal Festival Hall in London and Cologne Philharmonie.
In addition, he recently performed Schumann’s Cello Concerto on 9 and 10 January at Konserthuset Stockholm, with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and conductor Simone Young.
Soltani performs with German pianist Marlo Häring, who gives concerts all around the world. Recently, at the International Leeds Piano Competition in 2018, he was awarded the 2nd prize.
Nominated by Konzerthaus, Vienna and Wiener Musikverein.
