Rising Stars is a unique and forward-looking collaboration between 22 of Europe’s leading concert halls, all members of the European Concert Hall Organisation (ECHO). Six young musicians and ensembles from various countries are selected each year and given the opportunity to tour the concert halls and perform before international audiences.

Kebyart Ensemble is a saxophone quartet from Barcelona, noted for their lively, unpredictable and exciting live performances. The quartet consists of Pere Méndez, soprano sax; Víctor Serra, alto sax; Robert Seara, tenor sax; and Daniel Miguel, baritone sax.

Creative programming is a Kebyart Ensemble signature: the group performs older original music for saxophone quartet in addition to their dedication to new compositions, and they also arrange music in various styles for saxophone quartet. Tonight’s programme is no exception, with arrangements of music by Stravinsky and Leonard Cohen, French Florent Schmitt’s saxophone quartet from 1948, and a new composition by acclaimed German composer Jörg Widmann.

Kebyart Ensemble was nominated for Rising Stars by L’Auditori Barcelona and Palau de la Música Catalana. Don’t miss the opportunity to hear tomorrow’s classical music stars today. Experience shows that those who are selected as Rising Stars also have internationally successful careers.

To create the greatest possible capacity and predictability, we only sell single seats, every other chair, both sideways and in depth.
