The Way You Look Tonight

A tribute to Dorothy Fields featuring Isabella Lundgren, Carl Bagge and Musica Vitae.

Dorothy Fields (1904–74) was an American lyricist who wrote the lyrics to classics including I’m in the Mood for Love, On the Sunny Side of the Street, and The Way You Look Tonight. She began her journey in the early twentieth century in New York-based Tin Pan Alley, which was a group of music publishers and songwriters. She eventually worked on Broadway and in Hollywood.

The Way You Look Tonight is a tribute to Dorothy Fields that Isabella Lundgren, Carl Bagge and Musica Vitae are now finally bringing to Konserthuset Stockholm. Isabella Lundgren is one of Sweden’s foremost jazz vocalists and she has performed at Konserthuset on multiple occasions, including with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra in Over the Rainbow – 100 years of Judy Garland, which is available to watch on Konserthuset Play

Chamber orchestra Musica Vitae focuses on classical music, from baroque to contemporary, but their repertoire is broad and includes multiple genres. The orchestra last performed at Konserthuset in spring 2022 with music by composers including Paganini and Dvorák. Carl Bagge is a jazz pianist, composer and arranger. He has worked with many prominent musicians in different contexts: Robyn, Rigmor Gustafsson – and of course, with Isabella Lundgren multiple times.
