Bengan’s Stage for Two – The Secret

Folk musician and accordion virtuoso Bengan Janson defies categorisation. His joy of playing and boundless curiosity have led him to the worlds of jazz, folk and chanson. Over the years, he has collaborated with almost every major Swedish artist – across virtually every genre. “Meeting other musicians is what drives me,” says Bengan Janson.

The autumn edition of Stage for Two, in which Bengan Janson appeared with Mikael Samuelson, Tomas von Brömssen and Anne Sofie von Otter, was an instant success. The series continues this spring with two acclaimed guests – world-renowned jazz guitarist Ulf Wakenius and actor Maria Lundqvist – before culminating in a very special finale.

This time, the guest is a secret – but we can reveal a few clues: the artist is not from the classical world, has released numerous albums and is a frequent touring performer. One of the country’s most recognisable musical figures, and – as they say – known from television. With this surprise guest, yet another musical voice is added to the broad and playful concept that is Bengan’s Stage for Two.
