Experience the Persian international star Shadmehr Aghili – live at Konserthuset Stockholm! The singer and multi-instrumentalist Shadmehr Aghili is known as the king of Persian pop music. He will now take the main stage at Konserthuset Stockholm with a full band comprising the genre’s leading musicians.

Shadmehr Aghili stepped into the spotlight in 1997 with his ground-breaking album Bahar e Man (My Spring) and since then, he has released numerous highly regarded and top-selling follow-ups, such as Fasl e Ashenayi (Season of Acquaintance), Mosafer (The Traveller) and Par-e Parvaz (Wings to Fly), which provided the soundtrack to the film by the same title, in which he also acted. The very next year, he was also in the film Shab-e Berahne.

Shadmehr Aghili emigrated to Canada in the early 2000s and since then, he has released numerous acclaimed albums, such as Khiali Nist (Never Mind), Adam Foroush (Double-crosser) and Tarafdaar (On Your Side). His latest album, Tajrobeh Kon (Experience It), came out in 2016 and includes hit songs such as Tajrobeh Kon and Hamishegi, which has millions of YouTube views.

Shadmehr Aghili’s exceptional talent was evident from an early age and he quickly learned to play multiple instruments: piano, guitar, and saxophone, as well as the koto, banjo and trumpet. But his adoration for the violin is always in focus! And indeed, Shadmehr Aghili studied violin at the Tehran Conservatory of Music.

Shadmehr Aghili is politically active, and with music as a tool, he works to help the Iranian people reach freedom from all forms of oppression.
